A Different World: Welcome to Hillman College (Season One Trailer). The show was a spinoff from The Cosby Show with Lisa Bonet crossing over from The Cosby Show to A Different World as a Hillman College student. Hillman College was Lisa/Denise's father Cliff Huxtabl's alma mater. The original castmembers of A Different World included: Lisa Bonet (Denise), Jasmine Guy (Whitley), Kadeem Hardison (Dwayne Wayne), Marisa Tomei (Maggie), Darryl Bell (Ron Johnson), Dawnn Lewis (Jaleesa), and Loretta Devine (Stevie).
